Coil Winding Scheme and Termination
About stator winding method, two winding scheme is proposed.
Winding Scheme
CD-ROM winding has 9-coils / 12-magnets, dLRK winding has 12-coils / 10- magnets or 12-coils / 14-magnets. CD-ROM winding is the simplest winding and terminates with wye. And dLRK is mostly used for outrunner motors, terminates with delta.
Winding Termination
We chose dLRK winding with Delta termination because we chose outrunner type to increase torque, and dLRK winding with Delta termination can compensate RPM decrease trait of outrunner by increasing RPM. And we decided to use 12N14P winding which means 7:1 gearing.
